Create and Share Student Document Packets - University Admins

Written by Kaylee Welling

Student Document Packets let University Admins create polished, share-ready packets for employers, interviewers, and other recipients directly in Flo. Instead of downloading student documents individually, sorting them, and combining PDFs manually, you can select students and have Flo assemble the packet for you.

Depending on where you create the packet, it can include an interview schedule, table of contents, student cover pages, and supporting documents in the order you choose.

Where can University Admins create document packets?

Student & Alumni Directory

Create a packet from the available documents uploaded to the selected students' profiles. This does not include job-specific supporting documents submitted for an interview program. Recruiting schedule options aren't included.

Create a document packet

  1. Navigate to a supported table in Interview Management or the Student & Alumni Directory.

  2. Select the students, bids, applications, or interviewers you want to include. Note: You can select up to 100 students per document packet at this time.

  3. Select Actions.

  4. Select Document Packet.

  5. Choose the content and formatting for your packet.

  6. Add the recipients who should receive it.

  7. Select Export Packet.

Note: This modal will show different items depending on access point.

Flo will generate the packet and email each recipient a secure link when it's ready.

Important: The existing Student Documents bulk export isn't changing. Document Packet is an additional export option for creating an organized, formatted PDF.

Customize your packet

Depending on where you create the packet, you can:

  • Add a title and optional subtitle.

  • Include a cover page and clickable table of contents.

  • Choose which student document types to include.

  • Reorder document types.

  • Sort students by schedule, last name, or randomized order.

  • Include interviewer or student schedules, depending on where the packet is created.

  • When creating a packet from the Student Bids table, you can include student schedules if interviews are scheduled for the selected students.

  • Send the finished packet to multiple recipients.

The available options automatically adjust based on the workflow, where the packet is created, and available schedule data.

What's included in the PDF?

Every packet follows the same general structure, with sections added or removed based on your selections:

Cover Page → Table of Contents → Schedule (when applicable) → Student Cover Page → Student Documents

The Student Cover Page provides a quick overview of key student information. Depending on the available information and workflow, it may include:

  • Individual interview schedule details, when applicable

  • Supporting documents included in the packet

  • Class year and graduation year

  • Office location preferences

  • Practice area preferences

    Example:

For interview workflows, packets can include the interviewer's full schedule. Workflows without interviews omit schedule-specific content.

When creating packets for interviewers:

  • One interviewer: Flo generates one PDF.

  • Multiple interviewers: Flo generates a ZIP file containing one PDF for each interviewer.

Receive and share your packet

After Flo generates the packet, each recipient receives an email containing a secure link to view or download it. The link expires after 7 days. This makes it easy to share even large document packets without sending large email attachments.

Frequently asked questions

Does Document Packet replace the existing Student Documents export?

No. The existing Student Documents bulk export remains available. Document Packet is an additional option for creating a formatted, organized PDF.

Why don't I see schedule options?

Schedule options only appear when relevant schedule information is available. When creating a packet from the Student Bids table, schedule options will appear if at least one of the selected students is booked for an interview. Final schedules do not need to be released for schedule options to be available.

Why do the options change depending on where I create the packet?

This is expected. Flo adapts the available options based on the workflow, selected records, available schedule information, and applicable document visibility rules.

Can I create one packet per student?

Yes. From Student Bids, you can choose between a merged packet or a ZIP file containing an individual PDF packet for each selected student.

Can I control the order of students and documents?

Yes. Where supported, you can choose the student sort order and select and reorder the document types included in the packet.

Can I send a packet to multiple recipients?

Yes. You can add multiple recipients before exporting the packet.

How long is the packet available?

The secure link in the email expires 7 days after the packet is generated.
