Performance Management: How to Navigate the User Profile

Written by Kaylee Welling

User Profiles give Performance Management admins one centralized place to view and manage information about each user. From a profile, admins can access employment and education details, documents, custom fields, and private notes.

To open a User Profile, navigate to My Organization → User List and click the user’s name.

About

The About section contains the user’s employment and education information, including their job title, department, practice area, office location, start date, level, manager, mentor, and more.

To make changes, select the three-dot menu → Edit Profile. From here, you can update information within the Profile, Employment, and Education sections.

Documents

The Documents section gives admins one place to manage a user’s files. Select the + to upload a document or View All to access the complete document list.

Admins can search, sort, and filter documents, as well as open, download, rename, replace, reorganize, or delete files.

Note: Replacing a document permanently overwrites the previous file and cannot be undone. Document Type and Tag are required when uploading or editing a document.

Custom Fields

Custom Fields allow your organization to track additional information that isn’t covered by Flo’s standard user fields.

To create one, navigate to My Organization → Settings → Custom Fields → Add Custom Field. Available field types include Free Text, Numerical, Monetary, Date, Date and Time, Single Select, Multi Select, and True/False.

You can also reorder and/or delete these:

Once created, values can be updated from the Custom Fields section of an individual User Profile.

Note: Changing a field type, removing a select option, or deleting a Custom Field may permanently remove existing data. Bulk editing Custom Fields through CSV and filtering/searching the User List by Custom Fields are not currently available.

Notes

The Notes section gives admins a private place to record important information about a user. Notes are admin-only and are never visible to non-admin users.

Select the + on the Notes card to create a note. Notes support rich-text formatting, links, attachments, and up to 10,000 characters. Select View All to search, filter, and sort existing notes.

Note: Only the admin who created a note can edit or delete it. Other admins can still view the note.
